Employers a required to conduct full queries (check the database) on all new drivers at the FMCSA Clearinghouse. The Clearinghouse system will then automatically email a notice to the employee and they must log into their driver account at the FMCSA Clearinghouse and give their consent to complete the query.

Warning: If the query is not completed the driver will be prohibited from driving until another query is started and the driver completes it by giving their consent in their Clearinghouse account.

Owner operators note: When you log into your FMCSA Clearinghouse account it starts in the employer dashboard and you will have to switch to the driver dashboard to complete the query consent request.
